Sus ra\u00edces no est\u00e1n pensadas principalmente para absorber alimento del suelo, sino para sujetarse. En muchas especies tienen un tono plateado o gris\u00e1ceo. Una tillandsia no se riega igual, no se trasplanta igual y no necesita tierra.
